(You can click above for the organization home page)

About:

In addition to its well-known political and military dimensions, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization [NATO] has a "third dimension" which seeks to encourage interaction between peoples, to consider some of the challenges facing our modern society and to foster the development of Science and Technology. The Science for Peace and Security [SPS] programme offers support for international collaboration between scientists from countries of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council [EAPC]. An Advanced Study Institute [ASI] is a high-level teaching activity where a carefully defined subject, systematically presented, is treated in depth by lecturers of international standing, and new advances in a subject, not taught elsewhere, are reported in tutorial form.
