The Los Angeles Group Psychotherapy Society [LAGPS] and the Group Psychotherapy Association of Southern California [GPASC] merged to form Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles [GPALA]. The new organization has not yet created a distinct online presence.

LAGPS, the Los Angeles Affiliate of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, was established in 1955. LAGPS provided a forum for the exchange of ideas among psychotherapists and to promote education, research, and training in the field.
