About:

The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology [ITP], founded in 1975, is a private, accredited school that provides graduate programs in psychology and counseling. ITP builds upon the base of more traditional psychological and spiritual models, integrating experiential work with theory and research. The on- campus program offers a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology and two MA Programs. The Global Program gives students the opportunity to study at any location in the world and offers both MA and certification programs.

Transpersonal Psychology has emerged as an independent field of academic study which encompasses and expands upon the "forces" of psychoanalysis, behaviorism, and humanistic psychology. By looking beyond the individual to a larger view of consciousness, transpersonal psychology creates a point of connection between psychology and spirituality.
