Established in 1999, the Black Infant Mortality Reduction Resource Center [BIMRRC] seeks to reduce the disparately negative birth outcome rate of black infants in the United States. Holistically addressesing such factors as physical and psychological stress, familial relationships, reproductive infections, nutrition, exercise, and socio-economic indicators, it develops specialized bibliographies, operates a warm-line telephone service for consumers, provides continuing education and holds an annual conference.
